Wrong, it's not just about name colors, it's the set up, the layout, the whole design, it's not knowing who's in chat, it's not being able to rate from chat or access profiles, it's about it being small, and not being able to roll over and see RM days, and additionally, the colors. When you waste 5k points and 5 credits for it to just become obsolete, maybe you won't be too thrilled about the colored names.

i'll give it 1 day, if something isnt adsded on i want my 5k points back for my per color as it is now useless, and i may even just stop logging in if changes liek this are going to keep occurring.

old chat was what MK revolves around for a lot of players, including myself.. such a big change being made to a main feature shoudl have been talked about before just added in and old chat deleted..

im not a fan of the chat
also i dont sit in chat alot

and i bought the color cuz i liked it, i liked having a color, not being green
the game name is mafia kings, not show color in chat

but like i said, im not a fan of chat
but putting the deal, hey i spent 5k points on color, i wanna chat in colors, seems not a solid reason for me
there are other things that should change bout the curent chat, jc i think said them all


this is 1 day old, things may change in it, its a beta version [i hope, lol]

like i said..i like the gang chat and private chat..i just can't stand the global chat.
I think Mark or the Admins should have been able to give out a forum poll as to a yes or no to this new chat thing.

Yeah - a poll on this wouldn't have been a bad idea, but a lot of players seem to have many concerns about this.. I hope this thing changes, I really am not a fan.

just gonna be another to add to the pool of not likin the new "global chat" the private and gang chat is great (gang chat kinda makes gang shoutbox obsolete?) but it seems to be lagging as well.. it doesn't respond to the first click for me when i go to open it sometimes either. i also can't tell at first glance which one is up (gang or global) sometimes and i would like there to be a little more differential than there is between these 2 windows..

great idea mark on making the gang chat, i really like it.

However, global chat was far better before, when the game got a bit boring, you could just sit in chat, click on profiles, check rm, lil stuff like that. Someone mouths off, click on them and hit etc.

**also, not sure if this is just me but it would be great if you could move the chats to the middle instead of the left hand side. everytime my mouse is over something on mk, the link for it appears in the bottom left, therefore blocking my chat options

Like all changes, it will take some getting used to.

From a UI (User Interface) perspective, it's kind of "clunky". I like the effort that was put into the chat options that are available, but to me, the chat bar just doesn't fit the game.

I was looking for a way to turn it off. I don't like the fact that people can just message me anytime. Sorry, but when I'm playing a game, I don't want to chat... I want to chat when I want to chat.

Yeah, even the gang chat is pretty cool, but there's not much of a history, like is available with the shoutbox, so that's probably why the shoutbox wasn't removed.

I wish we were able to link to profiles from the chat, like other players stated. But even that doesn't bother me as not being able to turn chat off completely.

For me i don't like the new chat at all, it's one annoying redish/white bar across my screen at the bottom. Now we have a chat that copies facebook. I like the new chat for "Private Chat" and "Gang Chat" but i reckon this should be integrated with old chat system not making a new one. Mafiakings had a unique chat that actually worked properly, i have been on other chats and there's safe to say failed, now that has been replaced with a facebook styled bar across my gaming screen.

Imo i hope this isn't turning into a social networking/MMORPG site.

Personally I don't like the new chat as you are forced now to use it. We either go back to the old chat system or atleast incorporate a log off function for it. I work on LostZombies which also have a chat system on site. If you don't feel like chatting you just click the log off button and thats it.
What I do like is the gang chat function but that should be another option.

after my last message i have a massive change of heart. I hate it ALL.

its too picky and annoying. To talk to gangmates in shoutbox is good enough, and the original chat was awesome the way it was!

This needs to be changed back, the bar at the bottom does your head in, why fix what isnt broken.

But its nice to see mark at least trying new things, however this time i thing it should be scrapped. Chat was fine the way it was
