Granted, but in travelling through time your body collides with those of other beings in the exact same location as you, thus you become a horrifying abomination. However, you still decide to return to the original time. Upon arriving you are found to be so horrible that all of the world's nations fire all of their nukes at once. These collide in the sky above you and begin a permanent nuclear winter. Apocalypse. You, however, are immune to radiation and the effects of whether, thusly you must live out your now extended lifetime lonely and lost on a dead planet.

I wish I had control of the most powerful weapon made by man.

@MOO, Granted, but you bend too far, breaking your neck and thus becoming a vegetable. Several days later your wheelchair rolls down a hill and ends up in a nuclear power plant, setting off a meltdown and thus initiating the apocalypse.

Granted, but you are actually a disguise for the most advanced scientific facility in the world. Ever. As such, you house several million deadly weapons and viruses. Upon leaving one day, a scientist holding a vial containing a particularly deadly strain of herpes is hit in the face with your door as he leaves. The virus spreads like wildfire across earth. Nothing can stop it. However, one of the most horrifying effects of this virus is that it causes 'Tiger Woods Syndrome'.
Throughout the lab scientists are showing the most severe signs of the Syndrome, they move around with insane vigour. Bumping and knocking things over. Eventually, they hit several buttons that activate the most powerful lasers of all time. Ever.
These fire off into space, going through the gas clouds of Jupiter, thus creating a humongous explosion that knocks several planets out of orbit. Uranus, Mars, Saturn and Neptune spiral into the sun, expanding it with their huge amounts of fuel.
The laser then fires a second time, this reflects off a passing spaceship's hull and hits the sun, thus speeding up the expansion process. Several years later the earth is a shrivelled, dry shadow of its former self.
Deserts sprawl across it and there is no hiding from the heat anymore.
Only a few humans remain, in a desperate attempt to fix what was done they fire nukes into the sun, (like the trigger-happy Americans they are) which then explodes, engulfing not only Earth, but  several million other previously undiscovered planets, all of which showed forms of humanoid life.
Congrats on universal apocalypse.
